Position Summary
The Senior Business
Analyst / Scrum Master is a hybrid leadership role responsible for driving
product vision, managing delivery, and enabling Agile excellence across one or
more cross-functional teams. This role balances strategic product ownership.
With hands-on project leadership, ensuring high-impact features are delivered
on time, with quality, and aligned to business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ownership
- Define
and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Own, prioritise,
and refine the product backlog based on customer value, ROI, and business
goals.
- Write
actionable epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate
with engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Conduct
market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback loops.
- Track
and measure product KPIs, feature adoption, and business impact.
2. Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Lead
Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming,
sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Remove
impediments and ensure smooth team delivery flow.
- Coach
the team on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Shield
the team from scope creep and unplanned work.
- Foster
collaboration, ownership, and high-performance culture within the team.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as
primary point of contact for business teams, leadership, and external
partners.
- Provide
transparency into roadmap, release plans, and delivery status.
- Align
expectations across product, engineering, sales, support, and operations.
- Balance
priorities between short-term deliverables and long-term strategy.
4. Delivery Excellence
- Drive
end-to-end planning, development, testing, and release cycles.
- Ensure
quality through acceptance criteria, user validation, and UAT oversight.
- Track
sprint-level and release-level metrics (velocity, burn-down, defects,
cycle time).
- Introduce
process improvements and Agile maturity enhancements.
- Promote
data-driven decision-making using analytics and insights.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6
years of experience in Product Ownership, Scrum Mastery, and/or Project
Management roles.
- Strong
understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC processes; certification preferred
(CSPO, PSM, PMP, CSM).
- Proven
experience delivering complex software (specifically web and mobile)
applications end-to-end.
- Strong
analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical
requirements.
- Excellent
communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability
to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-team dependencies.
- Experience
working with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project,
etc.
- Knowledge
of APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, and enterprise-level systems
(preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience
in SaaS, Healthcare IT, FinTech, or enterprise products
- Exposure
to architectural concepts, microservice, data flows, and integration
patterns.
- Understanding
of UX processes, customer journeys, and design thinking.
- Familiarity
with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, release management.
